VH1—Tom Ford/Gucci Film “Fashion Kingdom”

Construction under pressure!! Tom Ford and Gucci turn a dark airport hangar at the Santa Monica airport into a fashion venue for a top model AIDs benefit runway show in just 80 hours. This film, shot in black and white 16mm film for VH1, stylistically chronicles the build as Ford, at the top of his game, transforms the venue with the clock ticking. The doc features great runway footage, interesting backstories on the models and a profile on AIDs Project Los Angeles, the beneficiary of the event—in addition to showcasing a large cast of celebrity attendees and participants.
