Affordable Housing—Keeping The Elderly in their Homes

Homelessness in Los Angeles has reached epidemic proportions. We were proud to work with L.A. Councilmember Gil Cedillo as he did his part to save one community of seniors from possible eviction as documented in this advocacy video. This campaign ended up keeping a community of seniors in their homes. When a rent hike threatened to oust residents in Chinatown, Cedillo worked with local developers to broker a deal to keep them in their homes. We documented the saga and interviewed people on both sides of the debate.
